Home to Leicester City from 1891 to 2002, Filbert Street stood for more than a century as one of English football’s great traditional grounds.

Filbert Street became Leicester City’s home in 1891 and remained so until 2002.

For 111 years, it was woven into the identity of the club and the city.

It saw promotions, relegations, cup runs and some of the most important moments in Leicester City’s history.

But what made Filbert Street special was not perfection.

It was intimacy.

The crowd was close.

The stands were tight.

The place felt alive.
